Kasbah Chems is located in the charming village of Boutaghrar, in the very heart of the Valley of Roses, just 25 km from Kelaat M’Gouna.
This stunning valley is famous for the Damascus rose, renowned for its exquisite fragrance.
During the high season (April–May), the fields are blanketed in vibrant roses, creating a breathtaking landscape. Many local products, from perfumes to cosmetics, are made from the Damascus rose, and visitors can tour distilleries to see how rose water and other delicacies are produced.

Organic dishes full of flavor
At Kasbah Chems, we believe in fresh, organic food. Our meals are prepared with vegetables straight from our own garden—tomatoes, zucchini, eggplants, peppers, carrots, potatoes and more—everything you need for a healthy and delicious meal.
We also grow a variety of fruit trees, so your breakfast always includes seasonal fruit, picked at just the right time. For us, it’s essential that our guests enjoy meals that are local, organic and full of flavor.
Our little farm
At Kasbah Chems, our goal is to serve our guests the freshest meals possible—and our very own farm helps us do just that.
We have chickens that provide fresh eggs each morning, cows for milk, and goats for making our delicious goat cheese.
Our hardworking mule helps us in the fields, contributing to the care of our farm and garden.
Of course, we take great care to ensure all our animals are comfortable and well-fed. Their food comes from our own fields or trusted local farmers, keeping everything fresh, natural, and sustainable.
Festival of Roses
Every year, Kasbah Chems celebrates the harvest of the Damascus rose—a rose renowned for its unique fragrance—during a vibrant three-day festival.
The festival usually takes place on the first or second weekend of May, depending on the timing of the rose harvest.
Experience traditional music and dances, lively food markets, and colorful souks offering the finest local products.
The highlight of the festival is the final day, when women don beautiful kaftans and the much-anticipated ‘Queen of Roses’ is crowned. A truly unforgettable cultural experience!
