Welcome to the Valley of Roses
Kasbah Chems is situated in the small village Boutaghrar, the heart of the Valley of Roses and 25 km from Kelaat M’Gouna.
This beautiful valley is know for Damascus Rose which is known for his perfume.
During the high season (April-May), all fields are covered with roses. Lots of cosmetic products are made with the Damascus rose. You can visit distilleries to see how they produce rose water for example.

Kasbah Chems is situated on a hill, so you will have the chance to enjoy breathtaking views during dinner or breakfast. Our beautiful red mountains are often compared with the Gran Canyon.
The silence of nature
We offer rooms and suites with incredible views. Our place is perfect for people who like to enjoy the silence and beauty of nature. We are situated next to the river of M’Goun where you can see lot of green.

At Kasbah Chems, we organize cultural and active activities in and around our beautiful valley. The activities are for everybody, including children.

Biological dishes
Kasbah Chems stands for bio. This means, that our dishes are freshly made with delicious vegetables from our gardens.
For example; Tomatoes, zucchini, eggplants, peppers, carrots, potatoes,… Everything to make you the best meal !
Moreover, we have different kind of fruit trees. Breakfast will be served with seasonal fruit.
It is important for us that our guest receive local and biological food.
Our little farm
As you know already, our goal is giving our guest fresh meals. For this, we have our own little farm.
We have chickens to give fresh eggs in the morning, we have cows for the milk and we have goats to make delicious goat cheese.
We have a mule that helps us in the fields.
Of course we do everything to give our animals the best comfort and food. Their food comes from our fields or from local farmers.
Festival of roses
The annual 3-day festival celebrates the harvest of the Damascus rose. A rose with a particular smell.
It is organized the first or second weekend of May, depending on when the roses can be harvested.
The festival will give you folklore music and dances, food markets and souks where you will be able to buy the finest products.
The most interesting day would be the last day. Where you will find women dressed in beautiful kaftans. At the end of the day, the ‘Queen of roses’ will be chosen.
